About Me
My name is Dean Altenhofen, II, and I am a board-certified counselor specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy. I started ECC over 15 years ago to guide and empower people who are going through personal hardships. In addition to founding and managing ECC, I provide evaluative and consulting services in the office of Sydney Crackower, MD, a family physician with more than 40 years of experience.
I have over 15 years of experience helping people along the path of life and currently work with a broad spectrum of clients. My areas of expertise include chronic pain, attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), and interpersonal relationships. I have also attended national and regional conferences on chronic pain, ADD, anger elimination, and sand tray therapy.
My Approach to Therapy
I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients overcome challenges in their personal lives. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to provide personalized treatments for every client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and achieve personal growth.
